We are now looking for an engineer for the development group within electrical maintenance.

About the role

The electrical maintenance unit consists of four groups responsible for the maintenance of all three reactors at Forsmark nuclear power plant. You will belong to the development group, which is responsible for testing, cabling, inspection, and engineering support. The group currently consists of both junior and senior engineers who contribute to learning within the group/unit on a daily basis. Your experience, education, and personal qualities will determine which area you will belong to.

About the job

Examples of tasks within the group include but are not limited to:

• Writing test programs based on provided documentation.
• Conducting operational testing at the facility.
• Acting as a test leader in renewal projects.
• Planning and preparation for upcoming maintenance.
• Working with system functions and technical detail issues.
• Report writing and investigations.
• Providing engineering expertise and support to other groups within the unit.
• Optimizing and improving maintenance routines and methodologies.
• System health and aging.

On-call duty may occur upon reaching the required competence level.

Varied tasks that include both administrative and operational work. Here you have the opportunity to deepen and broaden your competence in electrical power.

Requirements

• Education in electrical power, either in the form of an engineering degree, vocational training, or high school education, or have acquired equivalent experience through work life.
• Driver's license (B) and access to a personal vehicle.
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing, as well as good knowledge of English.

Meritorious

• Experience in practical electrical power work and having held a coordinating role.

We also place great importance on your personal qualities. Since the position involves many points of contact both within and outside the unit, good collaboration skills are required. To work safely and securely, you also have good structure in your work. At Forsmark, safety comes first, and we therefore expect you to be reliable and to ask questions at the slightest uncertainty.

About us

Forsmark nuclear power plant is one of the largest electricity producers in Sweden, producing one-sixth of the electricity consumed in Sweden. Nuclear power has very low fossil footprints and is a stable and weather-independent power source. Since 1980, our three production facilities have delivered climate-smart electricity every day, all year round.
